Christ for Us

John 3:16 For God so love the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

"For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God." It is in our human nature to sin, a curse passed by from Adam and Eve. the Bible tells us that NO ONE is righteous.

"For the wages of sin is death." The price for our sins is death, and we must pay that price. The problem is, we cannot. Because in order to pay, we have to be perfectly righteous, and holy. Romans 3:10-12 "None is righteous, no, not one, no one understands, no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one."

"He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world."Because Jesus is the only righteous one who can satisfy God's wrath, it must be He who pays the price for our sins. Because He lived a holy, righteous life and fulfilled all the laws, only He has the credentials to be our representative. He died for our sins and made us righteous with him. 1 Peter 2:24 "He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness." Isaiah 1:18 says our sins are made as white as snow. On that cross, Jesus took all our sins for eternity and forever buried it.

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God"

Faith, just means we believe, accept and trust in the work of Jesus Christ. We receive salvation through Jesus Christ by faith. We believe and accept that Jesus is the Son of God, died for us on the cross, and rose again after three days. He washed away our sins and made us righteous with Him. I can have eternal life not by trying to be a good person, but by trusting in Jesus to lead me there. Jesus is the KEY to heaven. John 14:6 "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
